Insanely different

This itself embodies different. Nothing is cliche, if anything this is experimental avant-garde I really can't put a genre on it. The melodies are short but so catchy I'm tapping my foot, the samples and sirens work well. I'm liking this track.

thanks for taking the time to listen and review and im glad you enjoyed it ;D

Not bad...not bad at all

This is definitely heavy metal, not poser shit. The guitars crush, drums are pretty good, but the only detractor from this wonderful piece is the sub-par production. It sounds muddy and everything is down in the mix. Fix that and it's a great short track with solid ideas and materials.

Indeed. You are right. Fuck...what the hell happened!? Oo

I tested this several times when I uploaded...but now I hear there are clips in...*sigh*...I really need to get a better mixer, the one I got suckzorz. >:(

My problem is that I can't get a good guitar signal out of my current mixer. It's just too weak for a "louder" line in signal. :/

Ah damn it!...Thanks for teh review anyways.

MIDI GRIND

This sounds completely unreal, why? Because it really is. The MIDI/Synth guitars aren't too bad despite, well, being synth/MIDI guitars. The drum programming is pretty good, and the vocals FUCKING KILL. Best vocals I've heard in a while. Nice and pig-like.

Drucigore responds:

Yeah, guitars do sound crap, I'm trying to rig my guitar up to my pc atm.
:)
Cheers

More like it..

This is something I could get into. It's experimental, a plus, it's better than your newer work, it has atmosphere, it's dancable, and why not?
I like the bass work, it really provides a hidden groove. The track is great. The drums give it a great feel and everything is great. It adds some Mediterranean feel with the lute or whatever in the beginning. Great stuff.

:D Thanks! This means a lot to me. I'll be sure to check ur stuff out!

This sounds familiar

That's right, it's the black metal part of our collab, which I'm afraid to submit now.

:P

Goatchrist responds:

Go ahead and submit it ;) it shouldn't be a problem :) thanks for the nice rating!

Really got me going...

This is a work of art. The soft piano, showing how much you long for something really does get to me. It has that ability to set you up for crying. It has a moody feel to it, without any background atmosphere, the piano(s) themselves create a mood.

Wow...Thanks. I didn't expect it to be that heavy. Honestly the first thing that came into my mind was the Gohan death sequence in DBZ: History of Trunks.

Southern Sludge

This reminds me of a NOLA band, Down, Pantera, Crowbar, something along those lines, only more or less rock than metal. The vocals really add a great raspy, down-to-earth feel. The drums sound so raw, powerful, and awesome. The guitar is sludgy and has a Tool type tone to it. The bass is audible which is a plus. I like it, keep it all up my friend.

Hells yeah..AIC

This reminds me of Alice in Chains to the point of thinking Layne is still alive, rest his soul. I love the heavy, sludgy riffs, catchy chorus reminding me of modern hard rock, great catchy lyrics that makes me think, why isn't this popular? The verses give off a creepy ambiance that I've never experienced out of a Tool or mentioned above Alice in Chains song.

A great guitar tone

That tone that you use is quite amazing and definitely gives your guitar a video game feel. It reminds me off an old contra game, it's funny, I'm playing that right now. Seriously I like the almost 8-bit, MIDI feel to it. It gives off a great ambience and the licks at the beginning make it seem like a boss fight in Sonic the Hedgehog or something. Great atmosphere, guitar tone, skill, and all. Even if it's used with a keyboard, it still kills.

THANKS MAN!!! that means a lot to me... it took me a lot to made that licks, because i'm not to good at it... well, but thanks for the review!!!

LOVES IT

The drums in the beginning are insane and definitely great. The whole song gave off a great vibe, which reminds me a lot like my favorite band, the Melvins. The vocals, the guitar, the drums, everything about it is catchy, awesome, heavy, sludgy, and above all gives off a sense of organized chaos. The solo is pretty good, not technical but it fits the feel of the song.

Quickbeam responds:

Thanks for the review. Can't say I've ever heard of the Melvins though...
